Boy, life has been busy. I haven't even told you all about my 4th of July weekend! I hope yours was as awesome and relaxing as mine.
I drove home with two of my friends and we just hung out and enjoyed Pennsylvania. We went to Community Days (a local fair) and ate at SHADY MAPLE!!! (It's an amazing restaurant owned by Mennonites that serves the best PA Dutch breakfast food ever!)
Anyway, my favorite part of the weekend was definitely Saturday night. I made a campfire behind my house and we roasted marshmallows and made s'mores! But honestly, just sitting by the fire and watching the sunset was the best part. DC is an amazing city, but it's amazing how much you grow to miss things like pretty sunsets and nature and STARS!
Definitely take some time to get out of the city if you can. It's totally worth it.
Oh, and here's a photo of us with the FIRE!

pretty sunsets, nature, and stars :) you know, lately I've been on this honesty kick. lol, not that I haven't always appreciated it, but I've been realizing how very awesome it is and how much I appreciate it. Not merely 'not lying' but what I would consider a deeper honesty- being transparent, being willing to confront, etc. and your post made me think of honesty too. Something about pretty sunsets, nature, and stars... well, they're just honest. Pure, Unadulterated, undiluted. I love it.
Glad ya'll had a great time!

Every time I visit PA, I think if Texas. The Pennsylvania stars are absolutely gorgeous and every time I walk outside I -have- to say something about them. Course, the Texas stars can't be rivalled ;).
oh, and the fireflies... they're beautiful too!
