I walked into work today (albeit a bit late) to find someone else sitting at my desk. Apparently today was the "big move" where the staff was being reorganized all around our rather large building. I guess I didn't get the memo email.
So I was a little thrown off by the whole adventure - not angry, just surprised I guess. It's actually making for quite an exciting day! I have a new desk, new computer (well new to me, but Windows 98 isn't new to anyone), and new neighbors. Plus, there was free pizza for everyone in the Cafe! (That sure beat the hot pocket I had brought for lunch.)
Anyway, today made me think. You never know what's coming at you on any given day. As much as we try to control our lives, there are times when life just takes over. My day today was obviously a very mild example of this. But this story from my hometown paper illustrates that there are just some things you can't prepare for.
I don't know about you, but I'm not sure how I could get through times like those without God. When crazy situations in life take control of me, I rest assured that He is sovereign and in control. I guess some might call that an emotional crutch, but I call it faith.
Hah. You mean the 2 emails ;)
